Savage Marine Ltd Press Release Summer 2021

News: For Immediate Release

August 2021

Update from Julie Clark – Barnard

Whilst our travel to clients and usual boat shows may have been at a standstill for the last year, things at Savage Lighting certainly haven’t. The past 12 months have seen unprecedented challenges for us all and I would like to start by thanking you all for your continued support. COVID 19 and Brexit have certainly tested us as a company but they haven’t stopped us! We have used the time to not only complete a number of incredible projects but also to make some big changes to the company.

I am now delighted to share that as of July 2021,  Savage Marine is now an independently owned company and in February 2021 we moved to new premises — home to all of our in-house Design and Engineering, production and assembly facilities, dedicated Research, and Development lab, design studio and office and meeting area. Our excellent team of lighting technology specialists, designers, and manufacturers are all still on board and I am proud to be taking Savage Lighting into a new era. One focussed on innovation, new products, and finding the best and most suitable lighting solutions for all of our clients worldwide.

In a further change, I am also very excited to share that we are now fully up and running with our Dutch Company Savage Marine NL. Headed by our International Business Director Rens-Jan Van Vliet, – Brexit did of course bring plenty of concern for us and our European customers but please rest assured that with everything we now have in place, it is business as usual, if not even better!

In recent years, we have experienced significant growth at Savage Lighting. Not only in the physical number of projects and products, but also in the type of lighting solutions we have been designing, engineering, and manufacturing. A growth linked to market demand for more turnkey lighting solutions and an increase in the complexity and scale of projects, especially in the 80-metre+ superyacht sector. Our move into these premises aligns with our commitment to meet market demands with increased capacity and improved design, development, and innovation facilities. A new home that lays the foundations for an exciting future ahead.

So what’s on offer at the new Savage Lighting facilities?

  • Access to state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities
  • In-house engineering facilities
  • High-performance assembly areas
  • Dedicated Research & Development lab
  • In-house Design studio
  • Office and meeting areas

I look forward to being able to see you again, in the near future and the doors to our new facilities are always open to you. In the meantime, please stay safe and well.
